Teams Won't Let Me Into My Own Meeting

Hi,

I schedule a meeting through Outlook on my Mac, however when I then go to join that meeting it won't let me in. I get the message 'Someone in the meeting should let you in soon' and I can't join.

I have two accounts on Outlook, my 'onmicrosoft.com' account where my Office 365 Business Premium account is registered and my work email. I want to be able to use my own Office 365 Business Premium account to create Teams Meetings and send them through my work email address. Hence, I am creating the Teams Meetings in my work email calendar so that they come from my work email address to my clients.

In the Teams application I logged in using my 'onmicrosoft.com' email as I cannot log in through my work email as I have no access and no means of gaining access (I am an contractor using the client firms email server).

Can you help?

    Hi Richard,

You may try to schedule Teams meeting via using your onmicrosoft.com' account on Teams desktop client and then check whether you can join your own meeting. See Schedule a meeting in Teams

When you say “I cannot log in through my work email as I have no access and no means of gaining access (I am an contractor using the client firms email server)”, do you mean that you can’t access Teams via using your work email account?

Moreover, regarding “I want to be able to use my own Office 365 Business Premium account to create Teams Meetings and send them through my work email address”, please provide us with the detailed steps screenshot which you have tried via the Private Message so that we can better understand and further assist you.

Your patience and co-operation are highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shyamal

I have the exact same issue. Have 3 Exchange accounts im logged into in native outlook, if i select on of them and create a new meeting in calendar and are signed in with that account in native Teams client, i can not open/administrate the meeting. Even if i try one of the other teams accounts connected to the same exchange, same result.

    Very frustrating!

After some debugging, outlook seems to use the "default account" (under file/account settings) as the actual owner of a meeting. That means it does not go by the account/calendar (tab) you select in outlook when booking the meeting even if that is the name/domain you see in the invite.

This is a major issue. It means you can not be the administrator of meetings without going in and changing your default outlook account before inviting people to Teams meetings, and restarting outlook.

Similar problem here.  I schedule a meeting with Teams.  But at the appointed time, when my invitee and I join we both get a message that we will be let in soon -- by whom?  Since I am the organizer, who knows?  Even more puzzling, under meeting options, Teams tells me that I cannot change the options.  Only the administrator (which would be me) can do that.  It's a do-loop.

set up a meeting today for over 40 clients and I had no access into my own meeting? It seems like the common theme is multiple outlook accounts... Can someone please help me ? Its the only way I can meet with these clients at a time like this... I am very disappointed that this hasnt been patched since multiple people over the last month seem to be having the same problem
