Hello all, as per the title description it was allw orking fine until latest days. When I share my full desktop in teams, other people sees a black screen, but sharing a single application works.

I've tried with the web app and it works fine, it's the local installation that is not working.

I've already tried to reinstall Teams and cleared all the cache but issue persist.

Anyone can help me out? it's driving me nuts

Thanks

Carlo

    yayyy!

You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.13565 (64 bit). It was last updated on 03/06/2020.

This solved the issue. please MS DO NOT TOUCH this anymore!

    Hi All,

I've spent hours and days searching through Microsoft "help" section and all over the net and have failed. But my IT guys have found an answer. If you're trying to share the entire desktop with Teams and getting a black screen on the other end - most likely you're using a wide-screen monitor. The solution is - to lower your screen/monitor resolution. As soon as I change mine from 3440 x... to 2560 x... - everything works. It's still a pain but a lot better than sharing individual windows/programs. It looks like an oversite from Microsoft side.

    Hope this helps!

It's been fixed in the latest release. No need to change anything.

I've installed the latest Teams too but it's not fixed for me! If I use any resolution above 3000 x .. sharing the entire screen doesn't work.

I can use the same hotfix for sharing the screen as Alex ACK does, using a lower resolution. But this should not be a solution of course.

I'm using a widescreen monitor and for the connection from my laptop to monitor a USB-C cable.
