Hello all, as per the title description it was allw orking fine until latest days. When I share my full desktop in teams, other people sees a black screen, but sharing a single application works.

I've tried with the web app and it works fine, it's the local installation that is not working.

I've already tried to reinstall Teams and cleared all the cache but issue persist.

Anyone can help me out? it's driving me nuts

Thanks

Carlo

Just in case this helps someone:

One of our customers encountered the same problem today.

We had the impression that application sharing sometimes worked with small application windows, but worked rarer with increasing size of the application window.

We observed that the problem only occurred with one, even the slower one of the two internet connections.

Those connections are quite equal (apart from the speed), but are using different DNS servers.

When the internet traffic was routed through the first connection which was using the cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 - other people only saw black screens when sharing the screen or an application.

When the internet traffic was routed through the second connection, screen sharing worked instantly.

So we changed the DNS server of the first connection for test purposes - and after the line was disconnected an connected again, screen sharing worked like a charm via both connections.

Interestingly it still worked after changing the DNS back to 1.1.1.1 - so it's certainly possible that only the reconnect solved problem and the cloudflare DNS not to blame.

Latest version (of Teams) installed - still problems with black screens in Teams.

It's on a 840 G5 - latest HD cam driver is installed. Only one external monitor and 1920 x 1080 resolution.

This is starting to feel like a game of whack-a-mole...Issue seems gone for me and most of my users (even the 3000+ Resolution), now i have a user with two 27in screens at a smaller resolution who can only share his laptop screen, not the 2 external monitors.

Did you update to the latest version really? the latest version fixed it for me. (3440x1440 widescreen fyi).

    I'm using version:

You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.13565 (64-bit). It was last updated on 6/4/20.

You can update your teams version under your picture upper right corner, 'check for updates',

and under about you'll find your current version.

It's been fixed in the latest release. No need to change anything.

I agree; it fixed it with me as well; 3440x1440 monitor sharing is working perfectly now. Great! (Let's indeed keep it this way?)
