Can't link existing plan in Planner to Teams

My team at work has a plan that was created in Planner.  We now want to also start using Teams, but we are unable to link the existing plan to Teams.  When we try to add a Planner tab to a channel, we get the option to "Use an existing plan from this team" or create a new plan, but there's no option to link to an already existing plan in Planner.  Does anyone know how to do this, or can you only link to plans that were created in Teams?

    Hi Carlos,

    I think that JEDI_KNIGHT's issue (like mine) is as follows:

    Any plan created within TEAMS is accessible to via "Use an existing plan from this team". 

    Unfortunately if a plan has been copied or created within Planner itself and you are trying to add that plan into TEAMS, it can't locate it. It is only able to access plans already created within TEAMS.

    That is limiting as I have duplicated multiple plans withing Planner, but cannot add them into any of my channels within TEAMS.

    From the chain, it looks like you can't use a planner that is connected to another team.

    I copied a planner that is not assigned to a team and I do not have an option to choose from to use an existing planner still. How will the drop down populate with a planner?

    I have the same issue as  Jedi_knight and Glensw507.  What was the resolution?  

    I created a plan in Planner and tried to add to existing team.  It does not find my plan in the drop down to "use and existing Plan".
