Can't link existing plan in Planner to Teams

My team at work has a plan that was created in Planner.  We now want to also start using Teams, but we are unable to link the existing plan to Teams.  When we try to add a Planner tab to a channel, we get the option to "Use an existing plan from this team" or create a new plan, but there's no option to link to an already existing plan in Planner.  Does anyone know how to do this, or can you only link to plans that were created in Teams?

    Hi JEDI_KNIGHT,

    Your time is appreciated. May I know if you have added the plan to another team? If you are in this situation, you won't find the plan in the list. 

    Besides, you can try to create a new plan and check if the issue persists.

    Hi Carlos.  Thanks for reply, but I have already tried this.  Unfortunately, the option given is Use an existing plan from this team.  When I click on "Existing plans", it doesn't do anything (there is no dropdown list) and there are no plans to choose from.  Do I have to be the owner of the plan in Planner to be able to add it in Teams?

    Based on your description, you can select User an existing plan to choose an existing Planner plan to add to a tab in this channel. you can follow the link below for more details:

    If you have followed the steps but cannot find your existing plan, could you please provide a screenshot of it? And you can also go to Teams web version and check it.
