I recently went on vacation and accessed Teams from my tablet for the first time by installing the Teams app. Now I am back at work and using my work laptop. Even though I have signed out of the Teams app on my tablet and removed my work account from all Microsoft apps on my tablet, my Teams status is still stuck as "Out of Office." How can I change it to "Available?"

Note that my Skype and Outlook status is correctly set to "Available." I'm at a complete loss and would really like help with this.

Three years later and this is still a problem. I had the day marked out of office, removed that from outlook, but Teams still insists on saying I'm out of office. Can't override. Restarting the app doesn't help.
My process will solve your problem.
Set up a temporary out of office notice with a start and end time close to the time you create it. It will only display for a few minutes. Outlook gives you the option to display the out of office only at certain times. Set it to start at 8:45 am or whatever time is closest to when you are setting it up and then set the time for it to stop displaying at the next available time. The longest it might be up is 15 minutes but it solves the problem by turning the OOO off at the time it is scheduled to turn off.
I had the same issue and found out it is an issue with your status under your outlook calendar. I have included a screenshot. You need to make sure the status on the event is set to "Free", instead of "Away", otherwise your global status in Teams will be set to "Out of Office" and cannot be changed.

My manager has sent a calendar appointment with "Out of Office". I accepted the invite because of this my team's status was showing "Available, Out of office".
Just remove the entire series from your calendar.

You don't need to remove it from your calendar, just change it to "Available" and when you save the appointment it only changes that status for you, not for everyone else.
