Microsoft Teams status is stuck on "Out of Office"

Yup, this worked! It takes about 20 mins to ripple through the system.

I have a larger team and need to know who are on Paid Time Off (Vacation). They have to send me the invite with "Show-as-Free" marked. If they choose "Out-of-Office", then it clobbers TEAMS which thinks YOU are out of the office.

Still stuck in  out of office status.

I had an end-user reporting this same issue.  I found that he had three ALL DAY meetings on his calendar for today.  These were actually meetings that others sent to his calendar to let him know of their PTO/being off that day.  Check the end-users Outlook for all-day events, (usually listed at the top of the calendar above the rest of the meetings/appointments that have dedicated times), and if you can remove them with user's permission...hopefully that does it.  It took about 20 minutes for Teams to show as "Available" and I processed a reboot of his machine as well during that 20 minutes for something else we were doing on his workstation.

We use the calendar similarly to track time off within our team. I found that in the Calendar app on the Microsoft website (https://outlook.office.com/owa/?path=/calendar/view/Month) you can right click on the meeting in question and change the "Show as" setting to "Free" in lieu of deleting the meeting entirely.

I have the same issue. In my situation I have an appointment that starts 12:00 pm "out of office", however in 11:00 am the Teams change my status to "out of office". The problem happens because in two weeks the summer time will begin here in Brazil, so the Outlook Web puts my appointments to 11:00 am. But in the Outlook Desktop is showing correctly 12:00 pm. The bug is related with summer time.

The Unified Presence Service will update Teams OOF based on Automatic Replies OOF or Calendar appointments set to show status as OOF. In this situation, you can filter client query to search for OOF, then remove these calendar items. 

I understand the rationale behind this. But it becomes annoying quite fast. I'm working from different offices throughout the week without a pattern from week to week. In order for my colleges to know where I am I add "Working from elsewhere" full-time in my calendar and the name of the office in the subject field. I believe I'm not the only one in the world doing this :)

If I understand this correctly, Teams will read this as OOO and even refuse me to override the status to e.g. "Available" (I tried with the commands mentioned above - command was accepted, but no change still). The interesting things is that SfB show my status correctly. Teams icon on the taskbark show the "available checker icon", but in Teams itself I'm OOO. 

In order for Teams to show the correct status I would have to stop using "working from elsewhere" calendar entries, which I would say is a bit stupid. There is a reason why I'm using it. Why cannot Teams use similar mechanism as SfB? If I'm on my computer I'm available unless actively in a meeting or away. If we copy this Teams-mechanism to SfB I guess I would "appear as offline" or be "offline" all day long which would not make sense.
