Microsoft Teams status is stuck on "Out of Office"

I recently went on vacation and accessed Teams from my tablet for the first time by installing the Teams app. Now I am back at work and using my work laptop. Even though I have signed out of the Teams app on my tablet and removed my work account from all Microsoft apps on my tablet, my Teams status is still stuck as "Out of Office." How can I change it to "Available?"

Things I have tried:

  1. (tablet) Changing status to "Available" on the tablet app
  2. (tablet) Signing out of the tablet app
  3. (tablet) Removing my work accounts from my tablet completely
  4. (laptop) Signing in and out of the Teams app
  5. (laptop) clicking on my profile pic and changing the status to "Available" or any other status. (There is no change at all)
  6. (laptop) typing in the command to change my status to available (no change at all)
  7. (browser) Accessing Teams through Chrome on my laptop and doing 5 and 6 (no effect)

Note that my Skype and Outlook status is correctly set to "Available." I'm at a complete loss and would really like help with this.

    I saw on another post that if anyone sends you an invite and they are ooo it shows up as if you are.  I think thats what Im seeing as the issue, our team sends out a faux meeting invite saying "joe smith PTO- BSmiley covering"  to the whole team so we are all aware (we are spread across 10 states) and it makes it appear as if I am also OOO.  Its a bad set up microsoft.

    This was the cause of mine!  It's seems obvious now I read it back, and yes, bad design by Microsoft for one person set to OOO to show all invitees as OOO!

    It's the "Show As" feature in a meeting that is the problem and the fact that someone can set it as the default option for everyone who accepts. If they are basically forwarding their own out of office meeting to everyone on their team, it causes them all to appear out of office.

    The agreement my team made was when doing that you set the meeting to show as "Free" when sending and then, after you did that, you can edit it, set it to show out of office, and choose "save but don't send". That will let it act as an out of office notice for yourself and not for anyone else.

    If someone messed up and did it wrong, you can fix it for yourself by editing it, making the changes for your own copy of it and not sending an update to them that you changed it. Then it'll take an hour for Teams to catch up, based on this reply I got early on in this issue's history:

    The Unified Presence Service will update Teams OOF based on Automatic Replies OOF or Calendar appointments set to show status as OOF. In this situation, you can filter client query to search for OOF, then remove these calendar items. 

    And the Unified Presence Service (UPS) polls Exchange every hour. If you have removed related calendar items, you need to wait for some time and check the issue again. Your time is appreciated.

    I have also the same issue today. I cannot remove the out of office automatic message from teams.

    On my side it looks like this:

    The status is both Available and Out of Office at the same time.

    Very annoying.

    I have mot meeting in Outlook:

    And the Automatic Reply is deactivated in Outlook:

    Not sure how I can fix it.
