Create a new out of office (even though you’re in the office) and set it to turn off at a time at the next 15 minute increment available. Problem solved.

I recently went on vacation and accessed Teams from my tablet for the first time by installing the Teams app. Now I am back at work and using my work laptop. Even though I have signed out of the Teams app on my tablet and removed my work account from all Microsoft apps on my tablet, my Teams status is still stuck as "Out of Office." How can I change it to "Available?"
Things I have tried:
Note that my Skype and Outlook status is correctly set to "Available." I'm at a complete loss and would really like help with this.

I'm having this exact same issue and have tried every suggestion people have mentioned. It's been 24 hours since I turned off my OOO reply and it still shows I'm out of office. This is getting beyond annoying. Anyone have any new ideas of how to fix this glitch?
So I had the same issue, but for me I had changed the status manually in the Teams application on my laptop but then discovered I needed to sign out and sign back in to my Teams app on my (work) cell phone (that is supposed to automatically sync with my laptop version and usually does so, but for some reason did not when it came to this - though I closed and restarted Teams and my laptop after changing the status) - worked like a charm. Hope this helps some folks!
It happens when you accept Out of Office Calendar request from some one else. Decline that request to fix it.
Cheers!
I've mentioned this in a past reply thread but I later found out it's actually more straightforward than this. Someone else posted this image which shows you the status which is attached to a calendar event:
You want to make sure that you set that to Free if it's an out of office appointment you're sending to other people. Then, once you send it out, you can edit the instance for yourself only (don't send updates when you save it) to mark it as out of office. That way everyone else sees your out of office notice so they're reminded of that but it doesn't make them show up as out of office themselves.
If someone does make this mistake you can also just fix it yourself by editing your instance of it to show free.
