Microsoft Teams status is stuck on "Out of Office"

I recently went on vacation and accessed Teams from my tablet for the first time by installing the Teams app. Now I am back at work and using my work laptop. Even though I have signed out of the Teams app on my tablet and removed my work account from all Microsoft apps on my tablet, my Teams status is still stuck as "Out of Office." How can I change it to "Available?"

Things I have tried:

  1. (tablet) Changing status to "Available" on the tablet app
  2. (tablet) Signing out of the tablet app
  3. (tablet) Removing my work accounts from my tablet completely
  4. (laptop) Signing in and out of the Teams app
  5. (laptop) clicking on my profile pic and changing the status to "Available" or any other status. (There is no change at all)
  6. (laptop) typing in the command to change my status to available (no change at all)
  7. (browser) Accessing Teams through Chrome on my laptop and doing 5 and 6 (no effect)

Note that my Skype and Outlook status is correctly set to "Available." I'm at a complete loss and would really like help with this.

Found the simplest solution to this. Go to your Calendar.. The Auto replies create a calendar event for the days you would be out but doesn't delete it if you come back earlier. Just delete the calendar events and your status should be sorted out.

I came across this issue this week, and found out that in my instance this occured as I had accepted a calendar invite from someone else being out of the office. Once i deleted their invite from own calendar, my teams is now showing as available.

I fixed it by clicking on the Profile -> set status message -> schedule out of office -> Turn on automatic replies to OFF

Its been a while I saw my status as available, out of office - my colleges were asking me for changing the status. and finally its back to normal.

Please check if you have any group OOO calendar invites in your calendar.

I had the same issue, I have followed the below steps to get rid of it.

    1. Turn ON and Turn OFF Automatic Replay option from OWA
    2. Deleted other Team members OOO Calendar invites from my calendar (Invite send to group DL)

There you go, that it :)

I had to log out of all TEAMs on my mobile devices, reboot the phone. And close outlook and Teams, reboot the desktop/laptop. That dud the trick in my case.
