MS Teams with Sony headphones wh-1000xm5

Hi!

I'm having trouble using my new wh-1000xm5 headphones in Teams on laptop and it is no problem with the initial connection process to windows using bluetooth. It can find two outputs to the headphones, handsfree and stereo. I use the stereo as primary but have tried with both. However, in teams calls using the windows application I can't use the microphone on the headphones, people can't hear me and then my sound disappear. The sound works fine and with good quality while using laptop microphone but when switching to headphone mic the sound disappear again.

Any idea what the problem is?

    I finally gave it up and disabled the app on my Android phone. Now when I connect to my LG Gram with Windows 11, I have no issues. If I need to use it with my Android phone, I disable Bluetooth on Windows 11 and manually connect it to my phone. Now when I walk away to the kitchen and back I am still connected and able to speak via the built-in headphones. Having two devices connected to the Sony app is a huge issue.

    I was always having issues with my headphones disconnecting from team calls when I walked away from my computer. I can hear them speak, but when my phone rings or dings with a notification, The mic would stick to the phone, and I had to disconnect from my computer and reconnect again.

    I fixed the issue - If you are using Sony Headphone wh-1000xm5 to connect multiple devices simultaneously - you will lose it as microphone on windows 11.

    Go to Sony app on your iphone/android and turn off "Connect 2 devices simultaneously" - then join in using Bluetooth to windows 11 and check "Audio" under Bluetooth & Devices -. Devices to see that WH-1000XM5 is "Connected, mic, audio" and you are all set.

    You cant use it to connect to your phone and Laptop as you will keep losing Microphones access on windows 11

    Sad but that is a discovery ! - not a solution

    I have the same problem after installing A2DP Driver.

    After trying all the solutions I can find.

    Find out that Teams can only use XM5 Hands-Free AG Audio normally by using Windows Standard Driver.

    Maybe you can try to select the device driver to Windows Standard Driver when you need meeting on Teams.
