MS Teams with Sony headphones wh-1000xm5

Hi!

I'm having trouble using my new wh-1000xm5 headphones in Teams on laptop and it is no problem with the initial connection process to windows using bluetooth. It can find two outputs to the headphones, handsfree and stereo. I use the stereo as primary but have tried with both. However, in teams calls using the windows application I can't use the microphone on the headphones, people can't hear me and then my sound disappear. The sound works fine and with good quality while using laptop microphone but when switching to headphone mic the sound disappear again.

Any idea what the problem is?

    Hi!
    It is in teams I have changed the device settings and when I change mic in their that when the sound disappear. pic (now it is on laptop mic):

    Now I notice that the microphone works but my sound is disappearing, in the volume controls have activated the devices as well and it looks like this:

    So dont know what the problem can be :/

    Hello Thim, I am a Microsoft Teams independent advisor and a user like you, The problem that you are having can be fixed from settings.

    To select the mic, speaker, and camera you want Teams to use for calls and meetings, select Settings and more Select to see more options next to your profile picture at the top of Teams and then choose Settings > Devices.

    Under Audio devices, pick the speaker and mic you want Teams to use by default.

    You may also need to change the audio settings of your device, so for windows 11 you have to:

    To change the audio output on your Windows 11 computer using the Quick Settings Panel, you’ll need to click on the icons that consist of the Volume, Ethernet, and Battery icons located at the bottom right. When you see the panel click on the arrow to the right of the volume option.

    Once you click on the arrow, you’ll see all the audio devices that are connected to your Windows 11 computer. Simply click on the one you want to hear the sound from, and you’re good to go.

    Let me know if this solves your issue, if not I will try to find other ways to solve this problem.
