Hi!

I'm having trouble using my new wh-1000xm5 headphones in Teams on laptop and it is no problem with the initial connection process to windows using bluetooth. It can find two outputs to the headphones, handsfree and stereo. I use the stereo as primary but have tried with both. However, in teams calls using the windows application I can't use the microphone on the headphones, people can't hear me and then my sound disappear. The sound works fine and with good quality while using laptop microphone but when switching to headphone mic the sound disappear again.

Any idea what the problem is?

Hi Mustafa, I have the same issue with Sonny WH-1000XM5 headphones using MS team on a windows 11 laptop. I can not hear the conversation in MS Team, My MS team is configured correctly (see below). I can hear sound from youtube but not from the MS team.

If I use wired headphone or wireless Airpod2, both work perfectly with the MS team on a windows 11 laptop.

My Sonny WH-1000XM5 work perfectly with the MS team on my iPhone. So my solution was to join the meeting from both laptop and my iPhone. I hope i could make my Laptop MS team work with Sonny WH-1000XM5

Hey there, I am sorry to inform you that the problem is with your headphone, as a final test I would recommend you test your team meeting with another headphone, preferably a wireless one, if it doesn't work then also, then the problem is definitely with your headphone,

Should I mark this question as resolved now that we know the problem is now with the Teams software but with the hardware of your headphone?

    Kind regards

    Mustafa

Have made several calls with the headphones using my mobile phone. Tested the microphone again at a meeting and they could here me but still my sound in the headphones disappear when I selected that microphone in the device settings.

Yes that microphone is selected during these test:

Have made several test calls. With the razer mini it works well but with headset it does not work. However, in this test it is hard to test the microphone because the sound is disappearing and I cant change settings during that call.

When I test the microphone in window settings it getting readings but give low percentage value, in this test I spoke quite loud.![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/1cc809fa-3702-4de3-a849-57728390b26e?platform=QnA

    hey there,

does the microphone work well with other software?

Can you do a test with the microphone application, or use it with your phone to make some calls and make sure that the problem is not with your microphone?

And for your earphones to work you have to change it from the intel mic to your headphone mic, I have attached a screenshot of what mine looks like, when I connect to a headphone.

You can also make a test call it is located under the audio settings, change the settings around and see which one works when you make a test call.

Let me know how it goes, and if you face microphone problems with other applications such as recording your audio, or when calling others then it could be that your microphones are broken.

    Kind regards.

    Mustafa
