Stopping the microphone from automatically adjusting level

Every time I run a meeting in the Teams app, my microphone level automatically gets set to 100%.

I have set the communications option in the control panel to do nothing and there appears to be no option in the app to stop it from doing this. I have a sensitive microphone that requires low gain - this is very frustrating as I am using it to teach lessons remotely.

Any ideas?

I agree the random "USB Microphone level to low/zero"  behavior is gone for me as well.  My Windows client version = 1.4.00.8872 (64-bit). last updated on 2021-04-05.

    Same here, with version 1.4.00.11161.

Teams is still adjusting the input gain of my mic, but in a reasonable range (between 75% and 98%) based on my voice volume.

So I guess something was updated 😊
