Stopping the microphone from automatically adjusting level

Every time I run a meeting in the Teams app, my microphone level automatically gets set to 100%.

I have set the communications option in the control panel to do nothing and there appears to be no option in the app to stop it from doing this. I have a sensitive microphone that requires low gain - this is very frustrating as I am using it to teach lessons remotely.

Any ideas?

So any fix for this? Teams is basically useless. It randomly decides to basically mute my microphone... Only completely quitting the application, manually crank the microphone volume, then restarting teams help sometimes.

Why do I even pay for this service? To get ignored?

I found this does not work. Somehow, teams checks this option when you run it an it take control of the mic again. An expensive high quality mic cannot be use in Teams as a result. It works absolutely fine in Zoom! Very annoying.
