How to Record Attendance in Microsoft Teams?

Dear Microsoft,

Good day to you.

When we are using Microsoft Teams to hold a meeting/training, attendees will join or quit during the meeting occasionally. For example, 3 attendees join a meeting at 10:03 am, then 1 of them quit at 10:30. But the meeting ends at 11:00.

In this case, as the meeting administrator, it's hard to capture everyone's attendance record in a meeting for 100+ attendees. Now we are using a “stupid” method to screen capture the "currently in this meeting" list as an evidence for the attendance record. But as mentioned, it's hard to cover all, and what's worse, since we can only get a picture file, we need to type the attendees' info. in Excel manually, which is so time-wasting.

Is there a functionality available in Teams to record and export the real-time(or the overall) attendance directly and then we can download? Or is it in the development road-map of Teams?

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks & Best Regards,

Jasmine Lu

What I just found is an easy way to capture people who've joined a meeting (I'm not concerned with how long they stay engaged) is by going to Microsoft Stream. If you've recorded your meeting, when you go to view the recording and edit details, you can select who you want to make the recording available to. The list of everyone who has at one point joined the call should be there. It's much easier to copy the list here than try to copy blocks of names from the list of participants from the Teams meeting. Not perfect, but much easier than having to manually type and record hundreds of names.

How can the Organizer download a copy of Teams attendance after the organizer leaves the meeting? I forgot to download participants while in the meeting.

    1. IT has to enable it
    2. Only the Owners can see the download arrow...not other members.

If its missing, its one of these two issues.

I need to capture participants as a participant.  Reference the ability of Skype for business through the " My Notes" feature where it links to OneNote and provides attendance, email address, and how attached.  Regardless of if you are a participant or organizer (and more user friendly) then Teams.

I frequently need to take notes on who was there with action items and such.  Please enable anyone to get a list of participants...

Simply integrate Skype attendance functionality...   You already have the source code to do it.

    B.
