Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    I am using 1.4.00.8872 (from 4/7/2021)

    This is happening on Windows 10 and Linux but not Mac.

    It most certainly is happening on macs… maybe not for you, but for me. Happens in the web client (Big Sur/Firefox) and desktop client. In both instances, I need to log out/login to see message content. This has to be a cloud/azure problem, as I  am seeing the same thing in multiple locations, devices, and networks

    We tested it using the desktop client I believe, but the Mac was working as expected.  Clearly this is a MS Teams bug.  It really messed up while we were in the middle of a production issue.  This was pretty bad for us... to the point we ended up going to phone calls.  Old school but it worked.
