Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    I do have the exact same situation.

    I have to switch between different organizations and often the switch itself cannot be ended properly without signing out completly and signing in again because after the switch the content of the chats cannot be loaded anymore.

    Removing the teams cache does not solve the issue.

    Chats and channels are not updating on desktop app while teams in browser and on smartphone are getting the updates as they should.

    I'm having to abandon using the Teams client on Mac. The chat function is completely broken. I am reverting to using Teams in a browser. This is a poor show from Microsoft given that the issue is clearly widespread and this ticket has been open for over a month now.
