Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    I have updated my app but it hasn't fixed. I still have these problems as described in previous posts with chats and posts not updating.

    Same issue as well on Mac with 2 organisations.

    My mobile app works but it's definitely affecting my ability to respond quickly. I've tried all of the "fixes" but as yet no luck.

    I'm having the same issue running the latest version of the Teams desktop client 1.4.00.22368 on an M1 MacBook Air.

    Replies to chats from colleagues in any Team I am in are not appearing. I get an email notification advising I have a reply and have to restart the Teams client to see the reply. This only started happening from around 13th September 21.

    I have the same problem on my Machine. I already uninstalled teams completely and removed all folders with Teams related data from my Machine. That's why I think that the problem is not coming from teams directly, but from another component on the computer that teams uses!?!?
    Or am I on the wrong track here?

    Not sure if it helps, but since I have this Problem the following software pieces were update:
