Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    Thanks for the update.
We are in a Teams only environment. However one of the affected users says that when she clears the local Teams cache, the new posts show both in the Teams Windows-client and in the web version.

I've raised a ticket with MS Premier Support.

Any updates on this? We are experiencing the same thing for a number of users within the same team.

I've been working with my internal support but so far no answer.

After reading through lots of threads from the last 3 years, it looks as though this is either an old problem that recurs from time to time, or an old problem never actually solved.

I think the two best candidates for the culprit are:

    • Operating in a hybrid environment of Skype + Teams (we do this right now)
    • Something in the way the Desktop queries for updates is broken, so it sees the new activity in a Teams Channel and updates the notifications, but it does not pull the new content into the channel itself.

Sadly, Microsoft itself doesn't seem to have any solution.

    A few notes:

    • I have confirmed that the mobile and browser versions of Teams do not have this problem. I can have the Mobile, Browser, and Desktop versions open simultaneously. When any activity is detected in a Teams channel, the Mobile and Browser versions both update automatically and show the updates in the channel. The Desktop version will see the activity and show the notification, but steadfastly refuses to show the content in the Teams channel unless you force it to by uninstalling/reinstalling or by deleting the entire cache and restarting.
    • I have also confirmed that this is ONLY Teams channels - not in Chat.
    • Currently running an internal survey to get more insight on this issue.

    Hi Veejay,

I tried this as a solution and it did bring all my feeds up to date. However, the problem is still there.

When anyone posts a reply or reaction to a post, my Activity feed gets the update (the counter changes on the Activity bell icon and the feed list shows the activities.

But the posts to which these activities refer do not get updated at all. Sometimes for several days.

Like @FL_IT_Dir, I have done these steps:

    • Signed out of MS Teams
    • Deleted Teams folder as mentioned above
    • Rebooted system
    • Uninstalled MS Teams
    • Reinstalled MS Teams
    • Signed in as user

I can post messages. I can see other people replying and reaction in my activity feed. But I cannot see the actual replies or reactions on the post itself.

This only happens in Teams Channels. It does not happen in chat.

I have colleagues who have the same problem.

I also have colleagues who do not have this problem.

We are all using Windows 10.
