Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    I have the same problem on my Machine. I already uninstalled teams completely and removed all folders with Teams related data from my Machine. That's why I think that the problem is not coming from teams directly, but from another component on the computer that teams uses!?!?
    Or am I on the wrong track here?

    Not sure if it helps, but since I have this Problem the following software pieces were update:

    maybe there is a Teams engineer login at this. Here is the List of exception I have found in the Teams log:

    I'm having the same issue, the issue seems to exasperate when having more than 1 organziation.

    Same for me. Chats won't update. Usually it works for about 30 minutes before it stops updating. Then I have to restart the application if I want to see the new messages. For channels I don't know as we're not using them a lot. I do get notifications via email about new messages, but they are also a bit lagged.

    I am switching between multiple organizations, and have the problem for all of them.

    I am using the client application running on a Mac.

    The mobile app doesn't seem to have the issues, haven't tried the browser app yet.

    This has to be solved, it has a huge impact on my productivty as I keep missing important messages!

    Same experience for me! The issue for me spans all of the above scenarios - Both Chat and Channels in my primary tenant, and similarly as a guest in other tenants (again, both chats and channels). I will get notified my email that someone is trying to get in touch with me hours ago. I'll check and the messages still aren't there. Yesterday someone sent me a message at 1 PM and the message didn't show until almost 9 PM!

    I'm not testing workarounds as I require a solution..
