Chats not refreshing / showing latest messages in microsoft teams

For some reason all of a sudden I cannot see any new messages in the chat during class on my laptop. The messages appear on my mobile but they arnt coming in the chat on my PC. Please help me the chat is very vital for my classes

Yes. This is what we see. Clearing the cache updates all versions, but the Mobile and Browser versions update themselves without clearing the cache.

So far the survey shows that most users (about 70%) do not see this issue at all, though they are using the same versions as the ones who do see the issue.

All are on Windows 10.

All are using both Mobile and Desktop.

None are using the browser version.

    More info To bypass the impact, affected users can use the Microsoft Teams web app, mobile app, or sign out and back in to the desktop client. Current status: After reverting the change for a subset of affected users, we've received reports that impact persists for some users, as well as some minor secondary impacts occurring. We're reviewing fresh logs captured from affected users still experiencing the issue to continue formulating potential mitigation options. Scope of impact: This issue may affect some users attempting to view chat messages in the Microsoft Teams desktop client.     Microsoft just published an incident about "Some users can't view chat messages/content in the Teams App". Incident: TM285554 and estimated start time is September 03th (we are the 17th 🙂) - Next update September 18th 12AM UTC.
