Hi there,
My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.
Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

Hi, yes I have outlook and they don't sync the staus properly either. But my main issue is it changing to Away, I.e. Idle, yet I am worki g in other applications. I have tried minimising, not minimising etc.
This doesn't happen to everyone in my team but it has been reported by some others in my company.
Absolutely spot on, thats exactly what it does for me. Annoying, as my boss keeps asking 'what are you doing' !!
Agreed! supervisors and other coworkers use teams to see if you are working and how long you haven't been, its happened to me. received a call "why aren't you working you should be at your computer" I tried to explain I was but she said TEAMS tells me how long you have been away and its been for hour and 45 minutes. So now it seems trust is lost - thanks TEAMS, she thinks I am cheating the company now and doesn't trust us working from home, at lease that it how it feels.
please FIX THIS!! and TELL people you had a issue and you are Fixing. this as you can see from the thread has been happening for a very long time - TOO Long! its the end of September now and it is STILL happening even at the office, just now working on computer and it marks me as away. If the computer goes idle then fine mark me away - but just because you are not in teams or have it minimized, yet still using the computer, that should not set the status as away.

your uservoice doesn't seem to work. go to your link https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/ do a search of "away status" and it shows over 2600 entries and how many votes on each entry? shouldn't this really should be fixed by now? please respond to at least let us know you are working on it - or not.
I agree; when will this be fix? Team is showing me away right now; and I am at my computer typing this message.
Please fix this. I get to use TWO different teams one on the application and one on the browser because I have teams running in a commercial and "Other" environment. So I get the joy of bouncing between different teams and the work I am actually doing such as I dont know Architect stuff that isnt in teams. This is a big brother fail. Bad enough your supporting the surveillance state, but at least do it well.
