Teams away setting automatically switching on when not away

Hi there,

My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.

Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

Thanks!

There is a solution which I found on a blog, which is go into calendar, click Meet Now.  Then go back to profile and change from red dot to green "available", and it no longer goes back to "away".  Working so far for me (touch wood).

Technically, the status should say something like "Away from Teams IM on my PC", which would also be a quick fix if it was possible to change it, as "away" implies unable to respond on the PC or any other device which is rarely accurate.

Mine changes to "away" while I'm typing on Teams. We've given up on trusting anyone's status at this point. Microsoft really needs to fix it.

Don't you guys see? Microsoft wants us to neurotically click into the app every 5 minutes so our status updates. When product managers show "performance" they'll say "look! people are constantly engaged with our platform!" This isn't a glitch, flaw, or accident. It's designed to inflate user interaction stats.

Looks like they finally fixed the issue, go to profile where you select different statuses and scroll down and you should see Duration and select the time you want it to go to "Away".  Duration was no there a couple days ago..........
