Teams away setting automatically switching on when not away

Hi there,

My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.

Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

Thanks!

I really need this to function correctly.   I'm on my laptop all day and if Teams is not my active window it flips to AWAY which is frustrating. Can't it even stay Available or even Busy while it's not the active Window?    I'm running the latest builds of both Windows and Teams.

    Teams build 1.3.00.28779 (64-bit)

I can't even manually set it to available after it sets itself to away, it just gets stuck on away. I was in a call, still showing me as away. Fix this Microsoft.

Please get this fixed.  Shows away across all platforms - desktop, web, mobile and can't reset or set.  Deleting cache doesn't fix it.

Classic Microsoft. Months go by with dozens of people reporting the issue, and still no fix or real response.

This is a design flaw on Microsoft's part. It needs to be fixed given that Teams is used primarily by corporations and constantly switching to "away" when using other apps is inaccurate & misleading and can cause issues with management. What is the timeline for Microsoft to fix this? It's a bug, not a feature.
