Teams away setting automatically switching on when not away

Hi there, 

My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.

Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

    I want to turn off this feature where it automatically sets my status to AWAY while I'm working in other programs or with Teams in the background. It looks like I'm  not working during work hours, and I am. I have to re-change my status to Available/green 10- 15 times a day and its frustrating.

    I'll keep posting until they fix it. This is typical Microsoft behavior though. Society is the beta tester. Also note the MacOS version does the exact same thing. That's my primary machine. But Windows shows the same issue. Pitiful.

    C'mon Microsoft, get your Sh.t together. This is beyond old.

    Yep, you are correct! I timed it today with a stopwatch. 2 minutes 30 seconds and I'm switched to yellow as Away which is NOT the case. Working from home, I had to alert my managers to this so they don't think I'm not working. I think this is an issue that can cause a lot of harm to workers if not fixed immediately.

    still having issues . . . today alone it switched me from active to gone within 5 minutes even though I was on my computer working in excel.  So they have NOT fixed this
