Teams away setting automatically switching on when not away

Hi there,

My teams status is constantly switching to "away" while I am working on my computer. This is very frustrating as my co-workers need to know when I am actually away or available.

Is there a manual override for this? It would be excellent to be able to set it as available so that my team knows they can reach my even if I am working on paper, or in this case if it has switched itself to "away".

Thanks!

Mouse Jiggler doesn’t work because you have to be active in Teams directly in order for it to register. My issue is when I am being productive over in excel but Teams shows me away or inactive because I haven’t done anything with Teams in the allotted time. Mouse Jiggler works great for things like Skype that just looked for any activity on the laptop.

Unfortunately that's not a fix. That's a way to change your status for a period of time, overriding everything else. It's not the same as saying "how long before you set my status to away" preference.

Actually it's a fix for me, now I can work on other others apps without out it switching to away every 5 mins.

I've tried this feature and it still goes back to "away" within a few minutes.
It's still not a fix to the main problem.

Also it appears that they've deleted a few of my comments on this thread.
MS, how about fix the issue that's been a problem for 6+ months rather than worrying about the negative statements made against your **** product? Maybe if you did that, you wouldn't have so many negative comments to worry about. :)

You're actually right, but setting the duration to 30 minutes seems to work off and on when I'm working in another app.  I can't believe Microsoft hasn't resolved this issue.

We have this issue too and when your leaders are looking for you, in a remote environment, appearing to be off-task isn't good. I find that even if I am in PowerApps building things it shows me as away.....this has to be fixed. I am so over explaining that I was at my laptop the whole time.

Just wondering why it has to be so difficult for them and taking so long to fix this obvious problem. If they can't think of a solution why don't they just copy the code from MS Skype for their 'Status settings' and patch it in MS Teams, as Skype status works perfectly fine. Both apps are owned by them and still we see such a major issue in one that they want us to prefer.

Why Microsoft is Ignoring this issue? It is hard to believe that a company like Microsoft cannot fix this issue.
