Multiple windows for MS Teams?

Why doesn't MS Teams support multiple windows?  It stands to reason that if you are on multiple chats, editing a file, and trying to join a meeting, you don't want to leave each ongoing action behind to go to the next, and shuffle around try to find where you left off in each section later.  Even separate windows for chat would be a huge help, or allowing a meeting to launch a new window outside of Teams and leave whatever you were working on in the original window.  Most people use multiple windows and multiple monitors to multi-task, and I'm surprised that the only way Teams seems to allow this is to run some of your windows out of a browser?  Is there help coming to make this a more productive tool?  This feels like a downgrade from Skye for Business...

    Hello TimCheek,

    Thanks for posting your concerns in the forum. Right now, multiple windows are not supported in Microsoft Teams. I think your workaround to open Teams via different browsers is a good idea.

    Furthermore, I have searched in Teams UserVoice forum and found many same feature requests. Please click Vote button to submit feedback in this most voted link: allow multiple windows in teams or be able to "pop out" the chat window. Our relevant team will develop new features based on the most voted feedback. We will keep working to improve the user experience.

    Please provide multiple windows functionality. Right now I really dislike working with Teams. Once this functionality is there, it would be great!

    Thank you for this post; however, the link provided to vote for the enhancement is broken.  I agree 100% that a user should be able to use the chat in a separate window while working in a team channel.

    Multiple windows is essential at this point. Currently, multitasking with Teams is impossible. Please add this functionality immediately to sustain your users.

    A windows product without windows function??  not reasonable or acceptable.

    if TEAMs is a single source of efficiency, we NEED to be able to mulitask.   its extremely frustrating to have shut down a document to respond to a chat.

    when is this function coming??
