Moving posts from one channel/Team to another?

Having rushed into setting things up on Teams due to COVID-19, we now find that we would like to rearrange our teams and use channels more.  Is there an easy way to move content (posts and files) from one team to another, please?

    I, don't, know what to say.....

    Let's look at a system that is designed to be so flexible with integrations that the basics are lost.

    It's crazy..... I could list 10 items that I would deem, and its only my opinion, that are day to day actions that Teams doesn't perform.

    Too busy concentrating resources on the next big headline feature while these types of things go untouched.

    Is there any more feedback on this one please?

    It is really hard to invest in a tool that requires such long term investment like Teams when we see that such basic features are missing.

    It is astonishing to see so many threads with crucial features on which Microsoft seems to have given up.

    Careful! I just posted in the wrong channel, so I tried moving the post using the method below. But what happened is that my original post was deleted from the thread in Teams, and the replies did not move over.

    1. Selected the three dots menu next to the post
    2. Clicked "Edit"
    3. Clicked "Post in multiple channels"
    4. Added the channel where I wanted to move the post to.
    5. Tried deleting the current channel, but this failed because it was listed as the "Source" channel.
    6. Switched over to the new, destination channel for the post.
    7. Clicked the three dots menu next to the post and "Edit."
    8. Deleted the source channel from here.

    As I said, the post was deleted from the original thread, and the replies did not move. So I moved it back but couldn't neatly link the posts together again.

    So, in case you considered trying that approach, it does not work. Hoping for a fix from Microsoft.

    I totally get that feeling. It's frustrating.

    I work for an education provider and sometimes no matter how many times you tell staff how to use the channels you still get people posting in the wrong places. For a company as big as ours this leads to problems with learners finding information. And it happens every week.

    The simple ability for a team owner to be able to click a button named 'move to channel' and then choose the correct channel to drop the post into would be life changing for teachers/learners/admin at my place of work. Please Microsoft make this simple thing a reality!!??

    As always one opens a year old thread and request for support/feature only to once again realize that it is not possible and no development has happened :-/
