Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

    Years down the line this change in the design will be a matter of deep studies for sociologists psychologist and designers.

    • It Is hard to understate how negatively the ew emojis have been received.
    • I also deeply dislike them. For example, the smiley face went from conveying "friendship, support and encouragement" to be a declaration of "stupidity and ineptitude".
    • It is like being deprived from one the word "nice" from our language and being ordered to use the work "stupid" instead.
    • "it is :) to see you" become "it is stupid to see you". Try to type it with the two emoji and you will see what I mean.
    • I find very intriguing how many other people were so vocal about it. But It makes it extremely evident how we collectively identify in their aesthetics and the precise -meaning and emotions - they convey. Hence it should be a priority for Microsoft to revert back to the old design.

    Unfortunately whoever works in a corporate environment will not be able to revert back to the old emojis since most systems works under extremely tight controls and privileges.

    Yes, 50000. But for every person that took the time to come here, vote, etc, etc., there's probably 10 who saw the new emojis, smiled, and went on with their life. Let's not pretend this some scientific study one way or another.

    And there might be another 42 who saw the new emoji, hated them, and will never use them again and didn't come here, vote, etc, etc. All we know is what we know.

    Teams is a business environment, not a childish tik-tok app. It is ridiculous!
