Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

    Isn't it the point that they look, "silly". If they didn't look silly, they wouldn't be emojis. Have you ever seen an emoji that didn't look silly? And how does that make them unusable? God forbid we have a little laugh in the drudgery of our everyday digital experience making money for other people. If people didn't like them, maybe they could use the ones they do like and let everybody else enjoy themselves? The headbanger is now gently bumping her face into a brick wall. It looks stupid and makes no sense. Can't blame MS though. They tried to do something cool and ever so slightly risqué and that got shut down in a hurry.

    Except they didn’t get shut down. They were heavily rebuffed, and chose to ignore the outcry.

    They’re playing the 800lb gorilla card: We’re Microsoft, we don’t make mistakes and we don’t admit failures. You will accept what we do, though you’re welcome to complain all you want. We’ll just reorganize your complaints and turn off the voting so it doesn’t affect our stats.

    Isn't it the point that they look, "silly".

    There's a difference between looking cartoonish and clearly expressing an emotion, and looking muddy and like every "guy" has a black eye as the most prominent "emotion" being expressed.

    I must be thinking of a different update or something. The fast/funny head bang reaction available about a year ago was completely different looking. Regardless, it's their choice. I'm guessing for every person that brought it up here there's one that thought they were hilarious. Just my opinion. To each his own.

    Counting the various splits to this question, I'm seeing around 50,000 votes against the new emoji's. And that's BEFORE Microsoft started blocking the voting. To each his own - agreed.
