Additional settings-related features and issues within Microsoft Teams for business
I don't have an answer for you, but I strongly agree. The emojis are unusable and creepy. Thanks for asking the question.

Greetings!
Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?
Thanks for any insight!

I guess I'm wondering why Microsoft would change emojis to appeal to kindergarteners rather than adults who use this tool for work.
They are not professional and I can't figure out why they did this. Microsoft should at least let users flip back to the prior emojis.
I agree with the above comments about how bad new emojis are and would like to add a new angle to this: they are also very damaging for neuroatypical people like I am. Our brain does not tolerate fake-3D and these new emojis look 3D-ish. They also move and have intense, disturbing colours. I know I can turn off animation, but this not solve the rest of the problems that made emojis unusable for me. I had to ask my work colleagues not to use any when they contact me. They just literally hurt me.
I also do not like the new emojis. They depress me and I don't enjoy using them anymore. It's like switching from coke to diet coke. Blah.
The wink emoji looks like a pirate...my entire company uses Teams for communication and I don't know anyone who likes the new emojis. Fire the designer who thought they were publishable and at least offer an option to use classic emojis
I end up using Windows Key+. for emojis, which is annoying because they default to small size and then I have to edit and increase the size
btw, emojis are now important in business setting with who prevalent online communication is. It conveys the intent of the person's typed words, so that the readers don't misinterpret 😉
