Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

Thanks for any insight!

To reflect on the points made in the initial post a bit, the silliness and displeasurable appearance aren't going down well even in the games studio I work at. We're far less able to be expressive in our messages with these, they don't confer the emotions intended nearly as well as the old ones did (Not that they were by any means perfect either!) and they're generally quite a lot harder to read, in part due to the excessive animation at a small scale and due to the fact that often when they finish animating they blink in and out of existence before settling in their unanimated state.

They're not fit for purpose for communication, emotional display or tonality in a workplace, even one as casual as ours where we value the fun and playfulness that the older emotes were providing. I'm not sure they'd be good for these outside of the workplace, either.

The clean icon-like nature of the older emoticons were perfect for their namesake by comparison, 'emote - icons'. These are simply harder to use while also managing to be uncomfortable for many. An option for the old emotes would definitely be preferable.

I'm turning on reduced animations to see if that assists with the more general disruption that blinking emotes brings, but a way of deactivating automatic emote conversion on both the sender end and the receiver end would be beneficial overall, imo.

The new emojis are creepy and inappropriate for a business environment. I used to enjoy using the emojis for a quick response but I refuse to use these

My Teams was updated with the Fluent emojis today. They are much too childish looking for a work environment. They look like they were designed to entertain toddlers! I feel like I'm representing myself as a child when I use them. Also, the 3D effect is far too dramatic. When all the rest of the Teams window is virtually flat and the text I am reading is flat, the sudden 3D pop-out effect of the Fluent emojis causes my eyes to lose focus and disrupts the flow of my usage. Please bring back the old emojis!

Why would MS felt a need for making change in this emoji's. I think this is in line with making MS team similar to Windows vista's horrible experience.

MS should provide a way to revert it back.
