Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

Thanks for any insight!

    Hi KB_116,

My name is Didi. I'm happy to help you today.

I'm afraid it's not possible to revert to the old emojis at the moment. There have been several requests to bring back the old style and I invite you to upvote or leave a comment on any of the links below.

I too HATE these new emojis, and have posted a comment on all three links. Few things upset me as much as they do. They're ridiculous, childish, and completely unprofessional.

It just updated for me at work. What were they thinking. I squinted and I was like....oh my. This is not good. I mean the old emoji weren't all that great either, but I think this new emoji update made things a lot worse.

I'm afraid we'll be stuck with it for a while, Not unless there is noticeable pushback from the community. It just updated for me and I'm responding 2 months later to this thread. So it seems its still on the rollout stages. 🤦‍♂️

I also have this issue. The new emojis are absolutely disgusting looking. Can you let us go back to the old ones?

I guess MS is trying to introduce a 'cool' aspect to emojis, but instead, they've created a completely childish mood, which doesn't go well on a business environment.

Please revert to standard emojis, like the ones used on Github.
