Teams - Revert to Classic Emojis

Greetings!

Microsoft Teams recently rolled out the Microsoft Fluent emoji style in Teams. This change altered all emojis and reactions across the platform and made them look incredibly displeasurable and unusual. In a business environment, I would venture to say the updated emojis are unusable due to the fact that they are so silly (for lack of a better word). I have thus far been unable to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this update; however, I would like to do this, as would my team. Is there any way to revert the emojis back to the way they were before this Microsoft Fluent emoji style update?

Thanks for any insight!

I have not found 1 person who likes these fluent emojis. And judging from the thread nobody does.

Keep in mind that people talk more about what they don't like than about what they do like. I don't think I've ever started a feedback thread to tell a software company that I have absolutely no issues with their product. :P So we have sampling bias: Those who post here or who talk about the emojis probably don't like them, or they would spend their time thinking about something else instead.

How does Fluent Emojis even make it out the door? No QA or asking customers what they think? I have not found 1 person who likes these fluent emojis. And judging from the thread nobody does. When will the normal emojis comeback? Asking for a friend.

I would also suggest that emoji's can be reordered for easier use. Most of the emoji's available are not even appropriate for a business culture. I don't need 5-6 emojis with kisses on them when i have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get to the head banging on wall in frustration one. One should quickly be able to see a person's intent when looking at an emoji, and there are too many that are similar that you have to hover over it just to see what the intent is. That is counter-productive.

I am not visually impaired, and still have problem with distinguishing between new emojis - many of them look similar (until you switch focus and concentrate to it).

Really annoying and most of all unuseful.

I have a visually impaired, legally blind team member that cannot distinguish between the new set of emojis. They state that they all look like orange and purple smudges. I'm very disappointed that Microsoft would allow a change that didn't follow ADA guidelines.

It would be VERY nice to have the option, either at the admin level or the individual level to choose a set of emojis they would like to use.
