MS Teams Helper using up >100% of CPU MacBook

Since the latest update of MS Teams (current version 1.3.00.9271 updated on 07/05/20) on a MacBook (early 2015), every time I now join a Teams call, the Microsoft Teams Helper is using >100% of CPU and causing the laptop to overheat. I have disabled the GPU acceleration as seen on some other message boards but this has no impact, and could do with a fix for this ASAP.

    We have noticed this issue Microsoft Team Helper takes certain amount of CPU for mac, we will continue investigating this issue and seeking help for our related team.

    Once we get any information, we will let you know as soon as possible. Current if it is acceptable, we would like to suggest using the Teams web, which you can login through http://teams.microsoft.com/

    Hi Mr Xu,

    Having 2 mac , one is using high CPU ressources when Teams is launched, the other not. The second one uses a previous version, the 1.00.309271. So, i've copied the previous version in the other mac, and then it's ok on both of my macs.

    Maybe the Microsoft team should compare the version 1.00.309271 with the last one to find out what's going wrong?

    Til this time, and if i'm right, could Microsoft give access to older version to download it ?

    Also seeing this issue - with CPU maxing and fans running as soon as I enter a teams call.  This also seems to be preventing me from effectively working live in other applications live via share in teams call because CPU is so strapped.  Please fix!!!!

    I'm having this exact same issue, coupled with not being able to share my screen and audio hanging.

    I agree, it's terrible how much CPU it uses and how it heats up even high-end MacBooks. Microsoft, any update on this?

    I am not savvy with this and I my Mac book is burning out with teams. Your answer would solve my problem. Would you be so kind to tell me where to find this version so I can download it.
