MS Teams Helper using up >100% of CPU MacBook

Since the latest update of MS Teams (current version 1.3.00.9271 updated on 07/05/20) on a MacBook (early 2015), every time I now join a Teams call, the Microsoft Teams Helper is using >100% of CPU and causing the laptop to overheat. I have disabled the GPU acceleration as seen on some other message boards but this has no impact, and could do with a fix for this ASAP.

2020-08-08T14:29:15+00:00 Dave, while we all wait for a resolution (or even a response), I tried using the browser-based Teams and it was much better as far as resources and fan are concerned. iMac w/Quad-Core intel i7, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB GPU.
Remarkable that there is still no solution. I'm considering doing all of my Teams calls from my iPad.

2020-08-07T19:29:02+00:00 Having this problem anytime I use video on a call. I have to turn off incoming video; even then the Teams Helper process runs at 30% CPU (which means 30% across 4 cores on my Retina MacBook Pro), and occassioanly spikes to 50% CPU and runs the fans at top speed.
In general I can only run Teams with normal machine loading by turning off incoming video and disabling the camera.
