MS Teams Helper using up >100% of CPU MacBook

Since the latest update of MS Teams (current version 1.3.00.9271 updated on 07/05/20) on a MacBook (early 2015), every time I now join a Teams call, the Microsoft Teams Helper is using >100% of CPU and causing the laptop to overheat. I have disabled the GPU acceleration as seen on some other message boards but this has no impact, and could do with a fix for this ASAP.

I'm using MS-Teams 1.4.00.11161 on MacBookPro on macOS Big Sur (15-inch, 2016). I've installed Turbo Boost Switcher.

Unfortunately nothing is working. Whatever I do, when in a MS-Teams meeting the fan goes crazy.

It doesn't happen with any other program.

Microsoft and/or Apple, please get this resolved. I'm reading about this problem from already a year back.

Can you please fix this as MacBook are everywhere and MSTeams is everywhere and most likely thousands of people are suffering this issue.

I have exactly the same issue. If I search on this topic, it has been like this for at least 1 year! Please fix!!

Using teams in a browser does work without any issues for me.

Still not working for me :(

Just entering a call makes my computer completely overwhelm.

Any thoughts on this problem ?
