Since the latest update of MS Teams (current version 1.3.00.9271 updated on 07/05/20) on a MacBook (early 2015), every time I now join a Teams call, the Microsoft Teams Helper is using >100% of CPU and causing the laptop to overheat. I have disabled the GPU acceleration as seen on some other message boards but this has no impact, and could do with a fix for this ASAP.
Many thanks in advance.

I had to deal with this issue for months! Today reading this message I figured out that the issue was a lot more severe when I was working at home rather than when I was working in the office, and guess what? At home I have a Roccat gaming mouse!
Renamed the file as you suggested and now Teams it's a lot smoother (it still has an absurd amount of CPU utilization for what it does, but it's definitely better and definitely usable).
Thank you very much, I would have never though that the issue could be related to my Roccat Mouse.
I tried asking ChatGPT how to fix. Here is what it said.
