MS Teams Helper using up >100% of CPU MacBook

Since the latest update of MS Teams (current version 1.3.00.9271 updated on 07/05/20) on a MacBook (early 2015), every time I now join a Teams call, the Microsoft Teams Helper is using >100% of CPU and causing the laptop to overheat. I have disabled the GPU acceleration as seen on some other message boards but this has no impact, and could do with a fix for this ASAP.

Many thanks in advance.

I have tested teams with a new mac book air M1, 5 to 10 times faster than my previous macbook pro 2014 intel I7 2,3 Ghz.

it was the last version of Teams.

It's the first time I heard the fan, the first time I see my new computer on the knees, laging, and one time, after 20 minutes. freezing. I had to restart. The last hours as a teacher, i was anxious about other bugs. Fan was working all the day, 7 hours of teams meeting with students. Very offen, i had to shutdown and restart my cam because my picture was freezing, after a screen share.

with zoom or meets, everything work well fine easy, fast.

and with teams eveythings is complicated. Where is the window, where is this function, how to...

    It's a shame.
