Hi,
When I get a link in an e-mail on my Mac (using outlook as e-mail client), neither Safari nor Chrome recognize that I have the desktop app installed and I can only view using the web app. Any ideas on how to solve this? My IT department is no help on this. I have reinstalled Teams multiple times, rebooted, etc.

The fact is that Microsoft is incompetent, even on its own platform.
DUMP TEAMS and use a cross-platform solution from a company that gives a rat's ****.
I Have exactly the same issue with my Mac Air with Safari Version 15.4 (17613.1.17.1.6). I tested the same using Chrome and it doesnt automatically open, however if you click already have teams option, it launches the teams app to start. This does not work with Safari. Any fix or workaround will be Super appreciated.
I have a new up-to-date Macbook Pro and I ran into this exact problem today. Up until this afternoon, when I clicked on a Teams invitation in the agenda the Teams app opened without any problem. Now when I click on a Teams invitation in the agenda, Safari opens up with three options: 1. install teams, 2. continue in browser, 3. open Teams-app. Nothing happens when I click on 3. I can use Teams in the browser (option 2) but then miss important features such as sharing my screen and blurring my background. Apple support was actually quite helpful in leading me to this page. Rather bizarre that MS is not helpful at all in this matter.
