Hi,
When I get a link in an e-mail on my Mac (using outlook as e-mail client), neither Safari nor Chrome recognize that I have the desktop app installed and I can only view using the web app. Any ideas on how to solve this? My IT department is no help on this. I have reinstalled Teams multiple times, rebooted, etc.

There is a Safari Privacy setting to "Prevent Cross Site Tracking". I'm not sure it will prevent the behavior you're seeing, but by unchecking that preference, I was able to successfully use Teams links in Safari without having to change my default browser to something else.
I won’t turn that off and I won’t advise my clients to do it either. We need the meetings to open in Teams from the Teams app and NOT open any browser. It should work the way I described how it works on my Mac.
This is ridiculous. This is causing work disruption in our company because I can't open Teams links.

Don't hold your breath waiting on a response. Microsoft always gives the short end of the stick to Apple users. If you call their support you'll get an untrained moron who doesn't know a thing about the Mac version of their apps. Even though this is pro level software, it's treated like it's freeware that doesn't deserve support.

agree - just letting you know of a workaround I've found - you can also make your default browser Chrome because it doesn't prevent cross site tracking anyway ;) Also,, when you do open the web version of Teams in Safari, it says it's beta.
