No sound when entering a Meeting on Teams

Hello,

I have observed on numerous occasions that when I enter a Meeting on the Microsoft Teams Windows app (with my Mic and Camera off, because it is university related and someone else is presenting) I can't hear anything. It doesn't happen all the time. I have tried entering the Meeting again and sometimes it works and I can hear. I have also opened the Volume mixer and that was not the issue (the Meeting was note muted). I even tried reinstalling the App. This only happens in a Meeting, not a private call with someone else and only on the Windows app, not the browser. I would like to use the App though, so does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

I have the same problem with HP Elitebook internal speakers. It is the Realtek drivers.

Our IT department made a re-install of all audio related drivers and after that it worked for some time.

But now it is back again. The builtin speakers are completely dead, not only in Teams.

All volume indicators available within Windows and also the B&O app shows that audio is streaming, but there is no sound coming out.

The headphone jack is working and external USB speakers works to, but if I forget headphones I cant' use Teams (or any other Audio app)

I strongly suspect that it is Teams that is doing this.

Just had a call on team with 2 other users.. 2 of us can hear each other well. But we cannot hear the 3rd person.

A lot of time wasted trying to figure out why we cant hear the 3rd person.

Dumped Team for SKype and everything worked well...

This is really a Team issue... since Skype worked well...

IT department decided I needed KB4576751. Now my builtin speakers are alive again. But I have not used Teams conference yet. SivaKRsg for me it is more than a Teams issue, since my speakers are dead in all applications. There are probably many issues with Teams.

I have experiencing the same issues. It has now happened twice, and I am currently experiencing this and trying to troubleshoot because the meeting I am in is really important. Luckily for me the speaker enunciates really well, so I can at least get the general idea from the live caption.

Checked my audio, everything is fine, speakers are working and yet Teams sates that the speakers for this meeting are not connecting. I have deinstalled and downloaded the app again. Nothing.

Any meeting with more than 10 already in the meeting before joining just turns off the speaker.

I have a problem where Teams doesn't seem to be respecting the selected audio devices. I have 2 headsets attached, and the audio is going to 1 of them regardless which I select in Teams settings.

If you have no audio check all your system audio devices, including ones that may be muted like laptop speakers to see if Teams is using a different output device than configured.
