No sound when entering a Meeting on Teams

Hello,

I have observed on numerous occasions that when I enter a Meeting on the Microsoft Teams Windows app (with my Mic and Camera off, because it is university related and someone else is presenting) I can't hear anything. It doesn't happen all the time. I have tried entering the Meeting again and sometimes it works and I can hear. I have also opened the Volume mixer and that was not the issue (the Meeting was note muted). I even tried reinstalling the App. This only happens in a Meeting, not a private call with someone else and only on the Windows app, not the browser. I would like to use the App though, so does anyone know how I can solve this?

    I found a solution to this issue. Problem appears with wireless headsets that have handsfree telephony option enabled. Navigate to control panel -> devices and printers -> right click your headset and choose properties -> go to services tab -> uncheck Handfree telephony option.

    Wow, i searched a lot but never found this place, since it's not that intuitive to find on windows 10/11 than it was on windows 7.

    In win11, i haven't this option but I open device manager and disable the Hands-Free option

    And now en Teams I select the bluetooth audio device now I can listen to teams and everything else

    So my issue with this migrated to the one in this thread.

    Which then, in turn, went away in about December.

    My laptop patched yesterday and 'Ride of the Valkyries' is pumping out my wireless speaker at 5 times the volume whenever someone calls me again and then the audio from the laptop stops playing out of the speaker until the call ends.

    Annoying to say the least.

    Same issue here !!! and nothing done about it 3 years now ,

    Screw MS Teams, just use Google Meet and WebEx instead!
