No sound when entering a Meeting on Teams

Hello,

I have observed on numerous occasions that when I enter a Meeting on the Microsoft Teams Windows app (with my Mic and Camera off, because it is university related and someone else is presenting) I can't hear anything. It doesn't happen all the time. I have tried entering the Meeting again and sometimes it works and I can hear. I have also opened the Volume mixer and that was not the issue (the Meeting was note muted). I even tried reinstalling the App. This only happens in a Meeting, not a private call with someone else and only on the Windows app, not the browser. I would like to use the App though, so does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thank you in advance!

Doesn't sound like the same issue I'm afraid.

The issue the rest of us had was a Teams external meeting crashing out the audio driver completely on the device.
This appeared to be fixed months ago despite no comms from Microsoft to officially acknowledge the issue let alone the fix.

Bear in mind Microsoft have just released Windows 10 22H2 which will come with it's own raft of bugs/issues/problems.

I have the same issue, it started yesterday (Oct 20th, 2022)
    Sound is working in windows.
Sound is working in Teams (notifications).
    NO sound in Teams calls.
I even see that there is sound in Microsoft Volume Mixer, the green line is moving.

It really infuriates me when the suggestion is "check audio drivers" and similar. DO YOU THINK WE'RE ALL STUPID?!

It's not our audio that's the problem here - it's Teams!!

I found the issue often occur after I answered a team call on my cell phone. Then, my laptop team will loose sound. Only solution is to reboot the laptop and rejoin the team. The sound will come back.

By the way, log-off and re-log in team does not help. And no setting changes will help. Only solution is to reboot.

I have tried every option listed for the past year and a half and its the same no audio. Sadly there is one team chat that we always have to meet up in. But then if we invite an outside guest to that same chat then its is a grab bag if they will have audio or not.

One on one chats have no audio throughout our whole license.

The only way it seems to work one on one is if one of the users is using a mobile device more specifically a cell phone.

Microsoft Please help!!!!!! When is updated coming to fix this?
