No sound when entering a Meeting on Teams

Hello,

I have observed on numerous occasions that when I enter a Meeting on the Microsoft Teams Windows app (with my Mic and Camera off, because it is university related and someone else is presenting) I can't hear anything. It doesn't happen all the time. I have tried entering the Meeting again and sometimes it works and I can hear. I have also opened the Volume mixer and that was not the issue (the Meeting was note muted). I even tried reinstalling the App. This only happens in a Meeting, not a private call with someone else and only on the Windows app, not the browser. I would like to use the App though, so does anyone know how I can solve this?

Thank you in advance!

If you don't have sound in a meeting you can first check your device settings in a meeting, it's possible that the sound sent to your  headphones is turned off.

We had a similar issue. The presenter had other monitors attached to their laptop. When they shut off the additional monitors, the audio would work.

I had a similar issue in that the native Teams app would not play any audio in calls, although I could hear other participants, and they could hear me.

All other apps, as well as the Teams web app, were working fine.

It was solved by reinstalling the audio device driver.

I have a problem where Teams doesn't seem to be respecting the selected audio devices. I have 2 headsets attached, and the audio is going to 1 of them regardless which I select in Teams settings.

If you have no audio check all your system audio devices, including ones that may be muted like laptop speakers to see if Teams is using a different output device than configured.

IT department decided I needed KB4576751. Now my builtin speakers are alive again. But I have not used Teams conference yet. SivaKRsg for me it is more than a Teams issue, since my speakers are dead in all applications. There are probably many issues with Teams.
