Teams gif button missing

Many of the members of our Team have a "GIF" button along with the emoji and format buttons, but I have never had the ability to add gifs to my chats. I have no idea why this would be happening.

I'm a global admin for my company and couldn't figure out why I didn't have giphy on my teams, despite having the authority to give myself the permission.

while it is possible it's disabled by either an org admin or just the team owner, I found that the icon will also disappear if "optional connected experiences" is not enabled, under privacy in settings.

    It's gone for over half of our users. Absolute rioting is happening and I did not see it coming. Nothing I can do in the admin center to get it back so looks like Microsoft has removed it. I'm hoping they reinstate it soon cause everyone is already getting antsy about it missing and its been less than a day that it's disappeared
