Hi GeorgeRoberson,

Since reinstall Teams can temporarily fix this issue, you can try to sign out and kill Teams from Task Manager to see how it goes.

If the problem persists, you can try to clear Teams cache to see if it can help:

1.  Fully exit the Microsoft Teams desktop client. You can right click Teams from the Icon Tray and select ‘Quit’ or run Task Manager and fully kill the process.

2.  Go to File Explorer, and type in %appdata%\Microsoft\teams.

3.  Once in the directory, you’ll see a few of the following folders:

========================================================

 a.  From within ‘Application Cache’, go to Cache and delete any of the files in the Cache location.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\application cache\cache

 b.  From within ‘Blob_storage’, delete any files that are located in here if any.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\blob_storage

 c.  From within ‘Cache’, delete all files.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Cache

 d.  From within ‘databases’, delete all files.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\databases

 e.  From within ‘GPUCache’, delete all files.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\GPUcache

 f.  From within ‘IndexedDB’, delete the .db file.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\IndexedDB

 g.  From within ‘Local Storage’, delete all files.

    *   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\Local Storage

 h.  Lastly, from within ‘tmp’, delete any file.

*   %appdata%\Microsoft\teams\tmp

====================================================

Once the cleanup is finally completed, you can now restart Teams and check the results.

Best Regards,

Sylvie

    What version of Teams/O365 is being discussed here? I have this same experience but none of the paths described in the solution exist on my computer.

    We are inviting hundreds of Teams Guest users from the outside world to join. Experiencing this same exact issue with most of the guest people we are inviting in. Have tried everything suggested so far in this forum to none of them working. And now our guest users are getting the new Teams v2 app auto installed on their computers which isn't helping this situation at all. Hoping some fresh new ideas of how to make this work comes in very soon.

    ** If guest users trying to join our Teams sites as guest already have another work or school Teams connection, does this cause an issue?

    It's still an ongoing nightmare. Rebooting the PC is the only thing that gets rid of it. Until the next time. I am now setting some colleagues' PCs (and mine) to reboot each morning before work starts, just to pre-empt the "pale green banner of doom".

    Firstly, MS does not care about these issues, you'll notice this thread started more than 4 years ago, and the situation has only got worse.

    I also spoke to a MS core "expert" and explained that (particularly post covid), we had a computer used for work, and for personal, and for school, and that perhaps windows was under a personal account, and then MS 365 was a personal subscription, but also wanted to access work things... and was just told "oh, no, that won't work at all.... everything has to be under the same account, you'll need one computer for each...." (not even one login for each, one computer!)

    It's a complete mess, and when you add the skype accounts that weren't integrated, so you can't reuse that email address, you might have to set up two personal email addresses as well!! (and other one for being a family manager), so 3 addresses, and 3 computers to use the wonderful MS suite of tools in our lives....
