Missing icon breakout rooms

I have just had the same problem with the disappearing icon. I have used breakout rooms perfectly successfully in several remote lessons. The set up for today's lesson was exactly the same - I was the meeting organiser; the class were all in the meeting as participants - but the icon simply wasn't there. I looked under the three dots and in settings, but couldn't find it anywhere.

I sent the class off to call each other in their pairs instead. Then I left and rejoined the meeting, and the icon was back. Really random. Not ideal when you're working with a big class of 14-year-olds!

I cant see Turn on new meeting experience possibility in Settings.

Pls Help!

I have the same issue. Breakout icon intermittent - no confidence or control on whether it will be there. Not ideal when you're planning sessions for multiple guests. I've always been meeting organiser.  Have updated all settings, although interestingly; I don't have the option under settings for 'new meeting experience'.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm a teacher using a teams account connected with the school! When I start a meeting in Teams I can't see the icon for the use of breakoutrooms. I checked the microsoft guide for working with the breakout rooms, but I can't get the icon to appear in the meeting. I checked my settings according to the guide and it should work. 

Some tips on how to get the icon in would be much appreciated! :)

To see the breakout rooms option within your meetings, you must turn on the new Teams meeting experience by

1. Clicking on your profile image within Teams
2. Selecting Settings
3. Checking the "Turn on new meeting experience" option within General settings.
4. Restart your Teams client.
5. You can double check that the setting is setup correctly by starting a meeting and verifying that the meeting opens in its own window.

You must be a meeting organizer to see the option. Meeting attendees and presenters will not see the breakout rooms option. May I know if you are the organizer? 

Only meeting organizers on the desktop versions of Teams (Windows and Mac) can create and manage breakout rooms.

Finally, please make sure all participants, including the meeting organizer are using the latest version of Teams.
