Hello Sai Raju,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

Regarding to the problem that the calendar tab is missing, there is a chance that someone changed the related policy. To check it, please contact Office 365 administrator to go to Microsoft Teams admin center and then follow the steps below:

1.  Sign into Microsoft Teams admin center as an Office 365 administrator.

2.  Click Users in the left pane and then select your account.

3.  In your account information page, click Policy and select the policy under App setup policy.

4.  In Pinned apps section, please check whether Calendar is in the list. If not, click Add apps to add Calendar into the list.

If the issue still persists, please provide the following information to me for further assistance:

  1.  Please confirm with other users whether they encountered the same problem.

2.  Please provide the screenshot of this issue to me.

3.  Whether the Calendar shows up in Teams Web App?

4.  Since you mentioned that you got license error when sign into Outlook Web App, please try this link in InPrivate/incognito mode and check whether you can sign in: https://outlook.office365.com. If you still get error, please share the screenshot of the error with me and I will do my best to help you.

Regards,

Seven

This is definitely helpful information, though I think the assumptions that followed the good results are amiss.

The assumptions that are misleading are:

    1. "Trial of Teams" - A Trial of Teams has no bearing on whether or not you have a Microsoft 365 mailbox.
    2. MX Record - The MX Record does not come into play with regard to Teams/Calendar integration - that is about mail routing.
    3. "Meet Now" - Meet Now should Always be available both in Teams panel and in the Chat feature - In both places it is the "Camera" or "Phone" icon (camera is greyed if there is not camera attached to the computer) - in Chat it is at the top right corner and in Teams it is bottom middle under the "Start a new conversation" bar.  If that isn't there, then you have something even more amiss going on.

(As a side note - yes, the inconsistent use of icon placement, icon coloring, and icon/button function throughout the interface IMO isTERRIBLE interface design and is ridiculously and unnecessarily confusing for users)

    1. Scheduled Meetings should be available through the plug-in in Outlook even without the Calendar in Teams.  I don't know about plug-ins for apps other than Outlook - but if you are using Outlook, just having installed Teams should have created a "New Teams Meeting" in the ribbon in your Outlook Calendar.  (People are almost always surprised when I tell them to click on their Calendar and ask "Is there a 'New Teams Meeting' icon in your ribbon at the top?"

This said - you may have illuminated the path completely - and if not, you have certainly shed more light than was here before.

Being substantially imperfect, now I'll toss my (potentially also inaccurate) assumptions into the mix.

My first assumption is that, though you are using gmail, you still have a Windows Domain with Active Directory.

If my first assumption is correct, then I would direct your attention to AD Users & Computers and choose "Advanced Features" from the view menu, then open a user who is using Teams.  (This is where it gets fun... - and I just tested this and am curious if you are seeing what i am seeing).

Click the "Attribute Editor" tab, then scroll down to "targetAddress" and double-click that. (It probably says "<not set>")

Now put in the "onmicrosoft.com" address that is associated with the user - its OK that they don't have an email box associated with it.

Click OK, OK, and have the user sign out of Teams - not just close or quit, actually "Sign Out".  Wait long enough for all the processes to complete, then sign back in.

I expect you will get the calendar icon back and if you click on it, it looks something like this:

(Which, I suspect, is also what you are seeing now)

    Hello, same issue here.

We were testing the Trial of Teams for 6 months, the edition that is giving microsoft for the known world covid situation. We ask for a trial and configured the admin user without issues, the calendar icon is there and we can do "meet know" in order to get the link to send it by mail (it is not the whole calendar section because we do not have Exchange Online, but we can go inside calendar section and use the "Meet know" button in order to get the meeting link. We said to the customer (because this was for a customer of us) to use it, we created the users, given to them, and now! they told us they did not find the calendar icon.

And they were right, I signed in using one of their users and was real! Calendar Icon was not there, even in the app or by web.

So, if the reason is that i Should not have the icon because I do not have Exchange Online, Why I can see it with the admin user??? Another question is, Is there "Meet now" option in another place different from the calendar option (because Meet Now has more sense to be in another place that is not to arrange a calendar meeting).

We encouraged our customer to not use Zoom, and to test Teams, and now they can't use it to meet to external people.

    Any help???

     I could fix my issue!

We have configured a customized domain (the public domain the users use for Gmail) in order they can use it with Teams too, and we kept the onmicrosoft domain for the admin user. That was the difference. So, we tried to go back to the onmicrosoft domain for users too, and Voila!!! Eureka!!!! Calendars appeared! so, I think that the reason of that is because when you use a customized domain and your MX register points to another email System, Teams does not give you the Calendar Icon, and the only way to get it back is using the onmicrosoft domain. Then I talked to MS support (because meantime i have openned a support ticket) and agreed with me.

The difference to take in count is, the fact of having the Calendar Icon, and to use the Calendar option. What you can use with the Trial of Teams, is to have the Calendar Icon in order to get to the Meet Now button so you can export the meeting link, but you can't use Calendar in this Trial edition of Teams because you don't have a mailbox.

    Hi Restin5,

If you determine in this section how many people have the problem with the calendar, you should still suspect that Microsoft itself responds, since they still have insight into this section.

I have now given up and am now using Zoom to my great satisfaction.

Only Exchange Online users get the Calendar icon and integration in Teams.

This is entirely untrue. According to Microsoft documentation, as long as your On-Prem Exchange is version 2016 CU3+, sync with Azure AD,  and you have configured OAuth, you should see the button. We have done all three and still do not see the button.
